In 1991, Japan's Suzuki Corporation, manufacturer of a wide range of high-quality musical instruments, purchased Hammond Organ. Mr. Manji Suzuki, President and Chairman of the Board of Suzuki Corporation, always enjoyed listening to the fabulous sounds created by the Hammond organs. Laurens Hammond's invention of the Hammond Tonewheel in 1934 was responsible for creating a musica product that is still recognized throughout the world today as the best-built, best-sounding, and most loved organs ever created. He originally conceoved the Hammond organ as an instrument capable of reproducing high-quality organ music at a fraction of the cost of a pipe organ. Many of the Hammond organs built in the 40s, 50s, 60s adn 70s are still being played today. Some are being passwd down from parents to their children, so that they can experience the same musical gratification and just plain fun in playing this legendary instrument. Ever since its introduction, the Hammond organ has been an integral part of church ad worship services of denominations.
